Parinaz Fathi is a PhD student in Bioengineering, working with Professor Dipanjan Pan in the Laboratory for Materials in Medicine and Dr. Mandy Esch at the National Institute of Standards & Technology. Parinaz received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and her M.S. in Bioengineering from UIUC. She is researching the development of novel biodegradable nanoparticle systems and microfluidic organ-on-a-chip models to evaluate nanoparticle-tissue interactions.
