Slav Dvoretskiy is a PhD student in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health in Dr. Marni Boppart’s lab. He received his BS in Kinesiology with a minor in Russian Language and Literature in 3 years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Slav received his MS in Kinesiology in Dr. Boppart’s lab with a focus on pericyte response to acute and chronic electrical stimulation at UIUC as well. Slav is currently researching pericyte-derived biomaterials that influence tissue microenvironment and aberrant angiogenesis observed in a tumor microenvironment.
