Bashar Emon is pursuing a PhD in the field of biomechanics from the Department of Mechanical Science & Engineering. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Civil & Structural Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. Currently he is working in Dr. Taher Saif’s lab and is one of the T32 scholars in 2018-2020 cohort. His project explores the dynamic interaction between biophysical and chemical signaling with a cancer tumor microenvironment and focuses on activin secretion and lipid metabolism in concert with tissue stiffness and cellular forces.
