Sisi He is a PhD student in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology in Dr. Erik Nelson’s lab. She received her BS in Biochemisty and BS Chemistry with comprehensive honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her MS in Molecular Integrative Physiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Sisi is a Cancer Scholar for Translational and Applied Research (C*STAR), and one of two in the T32 program. She is currently researching the effect of cholesterol and its downstream metabolites on ovarian tumor microenvironment and cancer survival, especially how myeloid cells are involved in this process.
